  Small damages up to 70 mm dia is covered by Tantalum disc and stud / Nut with PTFE washer after drilling & Tapping operation, depending upon location and metal corroded at damage.

TOP NOZZLE, MANHOLE REPAIRS / PROTECTION BUSH :.

 

Chemical Leakages, seepages, acid spillage from top nozzles, manhole corrode the edges and damage the glasslining in the nozzle which may cause severe damages inside bore of the nozzle and some times inside curvature of the nozzle-top dish damages due to nascent hydrogen generation.

GLASS-TEF Offers you trouble free PTFE Nozzle Protection T-Bush with / without GTE -Metal Filler and GTE -GLASSBOND compound for Nozzles and Manway.

T-Bush protect Glasslining on Nozzle collar from impact of over tightened pipe line, charging and prevent further corrosion in Nozzle and elliptical, round manhole in New M.S. Glasslined Reactor.

BOTTOM NOZZLE REPAIRS ( CONSULT US ) :.

 

Bottom Nozzle is damaged due to impact, pin hole development nearby nozzle, corrosion from outside collar and thermal shock from bottom Jacket sealer ring area.

GLASS-TEF offers you M.S. FEP / PFA Lined Bottom Nozzle Repair Kit which covers damaged area and seals from chemical contact.

Bottom Nozzle Diameter in this type of repair is reduced and this require modification of Flush Bottom Valve ( FEP/ PFA Lined Flush bottom Valve ).

In this case it may require to lift the agitator during the repairing and after completion of repair work reassemble the agitator in its original position.

TOP NOZZLE INSIDE CURVATURE REPAIRS ( CONSULT US ) :.

 

Chemical Leakages, seepages, acid Spillage from Top Nozzles corrodes damage the glasslining in the nozzle which may cause severe lining damages inside bore of the nozzle and some times inside curvature lining of the Nozzle-Top dish damages due to nascent hydrogen generation.

This type of Damage also occurs due to uneven Glass Higher thickness in curvature ,Pin hole development, Top Dish- Nozzle Weld joint defect during fabrication work.

This type of damaged is regretted to repair by most of the manufacturer but GLASS-TEF have developed unique technique for repairing of this type of damage. This require to blind the damaged nozzle from inside and your pipe line , connection is to be switched over to the spare available nozzle.

•  One of the most severe case of damage and most of the GLR Manufacturer regret for repairs and suggest costly , Lengthy laborious method for Relining without any guarantee.

•  GLASS-TEF have developed ON SITE repairs technique which imparts a significant life to the damaged GLR in a couple of days.

AGITATOR BLADE REPLACEMENT BY products.htm LINED BLADE :.

 

•  In case of your damaged agitator blade having good condition shaft portion , GLASS-TEF offers you replacement of damaged Glasslined Blade with M.S. products.htm FEP/ PFA Lined Blade Set ( 3 blade set) without disturbing your length and other parameters.

•  Agitator on different configuration also available for your different process requirement. Impeller , Anchor , Pitched blade , Turbine and as per your sketch to catch your process need with corrosion resistance.

HASTELLOY SLEEVING AT WORN OUT GLAND PORTION OR GLASS CHIPPING MECHANICAL SEAL PORTION :.

 

GOOD QUALITY GLAND AND PERIODIC REPLACEMENT CARE YOUR AGITATOR AT GLAND PORTION.

•  GLASS-TEF had developed special Type of Gland packing for Stuffing Box of Glasslined Reactor in various sizes 6 mm ,8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm. in 1 Kg. Packing, which care for long time of your Glasslined Agitator without worn out .

• Glasstef suggest to replace complete set of Gland Packing at a time instead of replacing some few pieces of gland.

•  Glass-Tef can provide Hastalloy B or C sleeve at worn out part of agitator Gland portion. Grinding of the Glass at Mechanical Seal Portion of Agitator is done in our Works.

JACKET WELDING / REPLACEMENT ( Consult Us ) :.

 

•  Jacketted reactor is corroded from out side due to utilities like steam , Brine , Cooling water which may result in shorten M.S. shell Life due to corrosion and also effect Glasslining of the Reactor.

•  Starting of Corrosion process accelerate the corrosion process which corrode M.S. life.

•  Salt and carbon deposition( In case of High-Therm Oil ) on shell due to utilities , also increases cost of utilities due to poor heat transfer rate of Scale / salt and carbon . Salts and carbon can not be removed by any conventional acid circulation process which may lead to damages of Glasslining due to Nascent Hydrogen generation.

•  GLASS-TEF had developed set up for De-Jacketing ( Jacket Removing ) Scale / Salt removal and Jacket fitting facilities to improve life of Glasslined Reactor without Damaging Glasslining due to thermal shock and overheating during process of jacket removing and welding.

•  Jacket Refitting / Replacement will also helps to increase the life of GLR shell ,reduces utility cost and your GLR can be used at your convenient jacket pressure

INSPECTION & SPARK TESTING FOR PINHOLE DETECTION :.

 

• Glasslined reactor requires to inspect visually and spark test at least once in a year to identify early Pinhole development .Necessary remedies at an early stage will save your costly equipment and time considerably .

•  Repeated Higher Voltage can break the bonding between Glasslining and metal hence it should be carried out by qualified person only.

THICKNESS TESTING OF GLASSLINING :.

 

Recommended Glass Thickness : 1 mm Min to 2.1 mm Maximum (Depends on Location) Glass lining has different corrosion rate at different temp with each chemical. During use of GLR its glossy / Shining becomes Dull . Hence, though it looks O.K. after usages, it may have thickness less than the original manufacturing thickness. Thickness less than 1 mm is also sign of failure of GLR in short time.

Hence, it is recommended to inspect the thickness of Glass once in a year or when Glass shining Looks Dull.

METAL THICKNESS TESTING OF GLASSLINED REACTOR SHELL AND M.S. JACKET :.

 

Utilities like brine, steam , chilling water corrodes shell of GLR from outside and shell of jacket from inside. It would be very crucial to know the available thickness at every year. Also ,When Glasslining is damaged & Metal corrosion takes place it is very important to know metal thickness available at corroded part to derate GLR for reaction pressure , jacket pressure , Vacuum.
